Fled Afrin residents sleep on ground

Over 200,000 residents of the Syrian city of Afrin have been forced out of their homes within as a result of Turkey’s military operation. Hevi Mustafa, co-chairman of the Executive Council of the Canton of Afrin, spoke with Sputnik in an interview about the situation.

“A large number of local residents were forced to flee the city, many of them have nowhere to live, and they have to sleep on the ground in the fields or in their cars,” Mustafa said.
